No pretty pictures in this post, just big smiles on our AdWords professionals’ faces. Google AdWords has finally released its demographic bidding in its Google AdWords platform. This feature was released earlier this year to beta testers, but the cool new feature is now available to all AdWords advertisers. This is a feature that many advertisers, including ourselves, have been long awaiting. Being able to target specifics demographics like age or gender will prove extremely useful to advertisers in the real estate realm as these extra filters will really allow an advertiser’s ad spend to go that much further by focusing ads on specific demographics. We are really excited to start rolling this out full scale to supplement the Facebook advertising we have been using as well. Facebook’s advertising platform has allowed demographic targeting since its inception so it is good that Google AdWords decided to join in. Paid Search marketing has really taken some hits recently (no pun intended), especially in real estate, as marketing budgets are getting smaller and smaller due to the constant decline of the real estate market across the better part of the country. More features means better targeting, which equals more efficient marketing campaigns.
